The Monkey's Paw

1)Summary:
One day, It is cold and dark out in the road and the rain doesn't stop for a minute. Old Mr. White and his son, Herbert, play chessn and Mrs.White sits and watches them. The old woman is happy because her husband and her son are good friends and they like to be together. In a few minute, They hear that the bell rings. Mr.White's friend, Tom, comes. Mr.White introoduces his wife and his son to Tom. Tom has come from India. Tom was a soldier in India for twenty-one years. He begins to tell his interesting stories. Tom puts his hand into his pocket and takes a paw out. Then, he says that it is magic because it can give three wishes, to three people, and was given by an India man to his friend. His friend's last wish was to die but the first and second wishes were unkown to Tom. After Tom leaves the house, Herbert and Mrs.White make Mr.White wish 30.000 pounds from the monkey's paw. Nothing happens but while they are going to bed, Mr.White sees a face image on the window. In a few days, well dressed stronger comes and tells Mr. and Mrs.White that Herbert died while he was working at maw and meggins factory. The stronger gives them 30.000 pounds. Mr. and Mrs.White cries all the time for their son. They wish for their son to come back to them from the Monkey's Paw. Herbert comes to the front door. Mrs. White wants to see her son but Mr.White doesn't want to see his son because Herbert died in machinery. While Mrs.White is running downstairs to open the door, Mr.White makes his thirt wish. When Mrs.White opens the door, three is nobody there.


2)In my opinion, It 's never good to want to change things. The things you wanted may not be good for you all the time. Sometimes, We should take things for granted.

put away: to put things in their usual places
